Week in Review

So, last week I was in San Antonio for the Kiwanis International Convention. This was my first time attending the convention and I had a blast. I got to see a bunch of old friends from my Circle K Days and also shocked a bunch of folks who hadn't seen me in years. It was a great opportunity to learn more about Kiwanis and hear about what goes on in other parts of the Kiwanis world. The New York District had a great time. I was "adopted" by the Governor of the District. We also went to a ranch one night and everyone got to sit on a bull. When I download the photos, I will post one. There were thankfully no travel issues when I was returning home.

I started back at work on Monday to some interesting news...my director is leaving Wantagh for a bigger position in another district. It is going to be very interesting to see what comes down the pike in terms of a job posting and the whole interview process.

This upcoming weekend, I am off to ASHA Schools 2007. I can't wait for the conference because I had such a great time last year. I am also presenting a poster session on Sunday morning. I am both excited and nervous.
